Satellite live transmission from the half marathon of Thüringer Energie AG

Our mobile IP-SNG system was used in mid-April as part of the half marathon of Thüringer Energie AG. The start of the half marathon was again in Sophienhof and it was planned by the organizers to transmit the “2.half marathon of Thüringer Energie AG “from Sophienhof on a LED screen. With a total of three HD cameras, an HD-SDI radio link and mixed picture from the switcher; the video of preparations and start were broadcast live for spectators in Niedersachswerfen. The local production switcher took the signal and handed it over as a mixed video on the video wall.
After the start, the runners had to cope with the half marathon race of 21.0975 kilometres; the first one finished it after 1: 24h. Our signal, however, covered a distance of more than 70,000 km and arrived with just 2-3 seconds delay to spectators and guests.
